DEAF MINISTRY & WORSHIP

Interpreted Services

  • Sign language interpretation offered at various services. Seating is reserved in front of sanctuary on the brick wall side. Contact Deb Hale at signmemom@gmail.com or text 785-969-1764 for more information.

 

Deaf Worship 

  • In-person worship and fellowship gatherings.

    • The next worship is TBD

  • Facebook Live recorded services are offered weekly.

 

American Sign Language

  • American Sign Language Classes  Another session of ASL classes will run on Thursdays at 6pm, Jan 11 through Feb 29 in the lower level Fellowship Hall. Talk to DCE Hannah with questions or concerns.

  • Class will be appropriate for beginners and those with some sign experience. Begins with reviewing the basics and then works to build vocabulary and conversational skills. Practicing these types of texts will build vocabulary and help learn and understand ASL grammar. 

  • Classes are FREE and open to the public (children under 12 should be accompanied by a responsible adult).
