Guinea Partnership

Faith supports missionaries through the Kansas District. The Kansas District entered into a "Gospel Outreach Mission Partnership" with LCMS World Mission in 1997 to provide support for God's work in Guinea, West Africa. In order to support the proclamation of the Gospel in Guinea, the Kansas District agreed to provide prayer, emotional and spiritual support for the work among the Liberian refugees in Guinea and the native Guineans. Faith Congregation is one of many in Kansas District involved with the TIM (Together in Mission) program which actively and regularly supports mission work by way of adopting missionary families.

Faith Congregation helps to support these missionaries in Guinea:

Tim & Beth Heiney family - Tim is the Theological Educator and Beth is the Business Administrator/Volunteer Coordinator in Conakry, Guinea.

Jack & Cathy Carlos family - They are seeking to build relationships with Maninka men and women as they serve them through basic health care education, so that they may also share the Gospel message with them.

Kory & Kara Fay and family are currently studying in France to become Lutheran Bible Translators in Cameroon, West Africa, in 2011. Kory is a son of this congregation and Faith helps to support their ministry.

Through Sunday school offerings and individual support by many of our members, CCCS continues to minister to children around the world. Children in 19 countries worldwide receive scholarships to attend schools to learn about Jesus. Over 17,000 children are currently served by CCCS.

Our LWML collects soup and makes quilts that are shipped around the world to those in need through Lutheran World Relief. LWR has evolved from a relief agency shipping material resources to war-torn Europe during WWII to an agency that works with partners worldwide to respond to emergencies, seek lasting solutions to rural poverty, and work for peace and justice for all.
