The Faith Family Ministry Milestones

Baptisms occur during scheduled Sunday worship services. Baptisms are scheduled with the Pastor. Prior to the baptism, there are preparation classes for families twice a year, August and January on Sunday mornings.

Sunday School is available for everyone from 2 years to adult. Christian education leaders bring the message of Christ through music, games, stories, and crafts.

An annual evening summer program to spread the good news of Christ with all ages of God's children.

In keeping with the baptismal promise to "place in the child's hands the Holy Scriptures", Faith has a tradition of giving a devotional Bible to all second grade students as they begin to read. Prior to this gift, special classes are held with the children and the parents to initiate and encourage family bible study within the home.

Prior to First Communion, children are given instruction through the Communion Preparation Class. This class is designed to prepare children for the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Fifth graders, their parents, and the mentors are asked to attend. The class is also open to any child of this age and older who has not yet received communion.

As children enter into confirmation instruction, a Mentor from the congregation is assigned to each child to promote positive role modeling leading towards and throughout the confirmation experience. The Mentor meets monthly with the child throughout the one or two years of confirmation instruction. Confirmation classes are held on Wednesday evening with WOW! Logos.

Individuals will be challenged to look at their faith so that they can declare for themselves what was said at their baptism.

Our Youth ministries are centered around God connecting with us through His Word and Sacraments. Youth ministry is designed to strengthen the faith of young people for a lifelong journey of growth, learning, witness and service.

We celebrate the accomplishments of the individual and bless them for their spiritual journey ahead.

We support and uphold the individual in the formative stages of vocation and offer Christian perspectives of life management for spiritual growth.

Faith promotes Biblical models of Marriage and parenting through marriage mentoring and marriage enrichment as well as periodic class offerings for parenting children in various stages of growth.

We offer a variety of educational tools for individuals and couples to strengthen their skills as Christian singles and parents.

We celebrate opportunities in which people of all ages are involved in learning more about themselves, about others and about how they relate their faith to the world around them and to each other.
