How to Grow as a Worshipper

Below, find some ideas from other Faith members that have helped them to grow in their personal worship life:
  • Share your Christian experiences with other organizations.
  • Attend a study group other than on Sundays.
  • Use "Veggie Tales" videos for movies and watch them with small children.
  • Read Bible stories as a family.
  • Pray to the Lord at home, and read your Bible.
  • Talk to the Lord every night at bedtime, thank him for the day and pray for guidance for the next day.
  • Read Christian fiction novels instead of others. It helps focus your life in a Christian way.
  • Recognize the presence of God in ordinary daily work.
  • Post psalms on your mirror so when when you are getting ready in the morning, you can learn it.
  • Take time to look and listen. Think of one thing each day that you are thankful for before you go to bed at night.
  • Listen to Christian radio.
  • Participate in "Worshipful work." Be on a worship team. Be a lay reader. Be a communion assistant. Join the youth in some of their activities.
  • Pray every morning on the way to work, asking for strength and courage to live a Christian life.
  • Remember that the Lord provides for our every need. Trust in the Lord.
  • Let Jesus Christ enter your conversations at work, home and with friends; speak of worship opportunities.
  • Make worship a "want to" rather than a "have to" activity.
  • Join a small group Bible study.
  • Listen to the recorded worship service from Faith during the week.
