Senior Pastor, Jim Bender Email The senior pastor is the administrator, directly leads worship and is responsible for the spiritual life of the congregation. Questions about worship on Sundays and prayer requests should be directed to him. Please notify him of any hospitalization or planned surgery of a member so that a visit can be made. He should be contacted at the death of a member. Prayer requests may be called to the church answering machine if the need arises after the office closes. |

Director of Christian Education, Audrey Duensing-Werner Email The role of the DCE at Faith involves ministry oversight with youth, college-age, and adults. Primarily, she functions in meeting with members interested in youth (grades 5 through 12) and family ministries. Visit with Audrey if you desire information regarding junior or senior high Bible classes and activities, activities for the family (all ages including retirees), and Faith’s confirmation program. |

Director of Children’s Ministry, Marilyn Shults Email Faith’s ministries to children and families encompasses birth to fourth grade. Programs include: Cradle Roll (birth to age 2), nursery, Sunday school (beginning with 2-year-olds), children’s message leadership, children’s Christmas programs, WOW! Midweek Ministry, Faith Camp VBS, and maintaining relations with Topeka Lutheran School, TLS Center for Young Children, and Faith’s Early Childhood Center. |

Director of Worship Ministry, Young Hee Chung Email Young is responsible for planning and coordinating all worship services and special services. She oversees the worship ministry including worship committee, arts council, media/sound ministry and drama ministry; directs or oversees choirs/small ensembles and paid/unpaid musicians; and is responsible for playing the organ and coordinating organists, managing the Praise Team and 6pm musicians, and coordinating Faith Camp and WOW! music programs. She is available to play the organ for weddings and funerals. |

Administrative Coordinator, Don Bartling Email This position involves the coordinating of the church building issues, finances and volunteers. Don works closely with various ministry teams and the office staff in coordinating the operation of the facility and the office staff. |

Receptionist/Secretary, Sharon Lowe Email As a church secretary, Sharon is usually the first person to greet you if you visited the church office or called in. She is the direct secretary to the Senior Pastor. Sharon puts together the traditional worship bulletins, transfer of memberships both in and out, outreach, assimilation. She also books events into the building for church related events and is the contact person for member weddings. |

Bookkeeper/Secretary, Carolyn Watson Email Carolyn works directly with Faith finances including payroll and bill paying. She is assistant to Audrey in the area of junior and senior youth, youth finances, and the monthly youth newsletter. |

Communications/Secretary, Linda Meyer Email Linda is responsible for the 9:30 and 6:00 bulletins, “Weekend Update” newsletter and the monthly “Messenger,” design projects, Web site and communications/public relations and contemporary worship planning. She also helps answer phones and the office door. |

Auxiliary Staff
Parish nursing is a unique blend of professional nursing and spiritual care provided by a registered nurse. Its role is to listen to people, identify health concerns, help with or obtain church or community resources, provide health education and offer Christian support to help everyone maintain good health and prevent illness. She (or other volunteer RNs) are available at the church on Wednesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The Lay Deacon and Parish Assistant program, a 2-year training course through the Kansas District LCMS, is designed for credentialed lay people to serve with pastoral care in Kansas District Congregations, such as Faith Lutheran. They fill the congregation’s need for pastor and educator support, lay leadership development, mission and ministry expansion, and pastoral care.
Each Sunday morning, the worship services are recorded and made available on CDs for shut-ins. Gary coordinates volunteers to run the sound/recording equipment at all worship services and the visual screen at the 9:30 worship.
There are many resources available in the church lending library available for personal or small group Bible study and personal spiritual growth. The library also houses a large variety of commentaries and historical reference materials for further study or enrichment. Colleen manages the library and database.
